Shree Shree Parva
The journey of 'Shree-Shree Parva', the school's annual function has been a beautiful, enriching and joyful one that has the elements of education as well as entertainment. The title of the function is an apt one as it celebrates the glory of two great epitomes of Indian tradition and culture. Lord Shree Krishna and Dr. Shrikant Jichkar, the founder of Sāndipani School. Shree-Shree Parva is the unique cultural heritage of Sāndipani school.
Morning Assembly
One of the most attractive and enjoyable features of the school is its well-planned Morning Assembly which comprises of day wise activities such as action songs, shlokas, Geeta Chanting, exercises, yoga, group and table recitations, show n tell activity, puppet shows, skits, talks on various occasions, festival celebration etc.
Read 'N' Grow Inter School Contest
The Read 'N' Grow Contest, a venture to promote the reading habit is the brainchild of the school. It started as an Intra School Contest and has assumed mammoth proportions as an Inter School contest with students from schools all over Nagpur participate in a written contest held every year. A slew of Competitions like the Poster Making, Certificate Designing, Blurb and Review Writing are held throughout the year culminating in the Inter School event.
Annual Projects
The school aims at inculcating social responsibility in its students by involving them in various activities that revolve around a social cause. Down the years the school has undertaken Projects such as Cleanliness, Road Safety Awareness and Care for the Elderly and Empathy & Gratitude to name a few.
Sāndipani Grows Together
It is rightly said that a family that prays together stays together. So, we read, eat and paint together with the aim to socialise, learn, share and enjoy the essence and feeling of oneness.
Visual Arts
Through visual arts, we let our students explore and perform their artistic skills, imagination and creativity. We provide opportunities to all students, right from Pre-Primary to Secondary to perceive, respond to, create and communicate through Art and Craft.
Performing Arts
At Sāndipani, we help students bring out their creativity as well as develop their personality. Performing arts at Sāndipani is all about self-expression, exploring other choices and embracing individuality which allows them to develop self-confidence and belief in themselves.
Sports
What we learn on the ground, cannot be learned in classrooms’’. At Sāndipani, a strong emphasis is laid on sports and physical development. This not only helps students to stay healthy but also improve their emotional fitness, teamwork, accountability, confidence and self-discipline. Our students have access to various sports activities wherein they can play Basketball, Cricket, Handball, Volleyball, Athletics etc. However, there is a provision of indoor games such as Boxing, Gymnastics, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess etc. Green gym is an added attraction.
Subject Enrichment Programme
Subject enrichment programme is conducted every year for all the subjects to provide extended learning opportunities and challenges to students in their own areas of interests and strengths.
Exercises of Practical Life (EPL)
A distinctive feature of the school where students are trained to care for oneself and the environment. It develops a sense of responsibility, independence and safety.
Training And Development
The school has a counselling cell which indulges in monitoring the development of students and facilitators all the year round. Several training programmes and workshops are conducted by a team of eminent counsellors and trainers.
School Clubs
Students are encouraged to participate in activities organized by various clubs, such as Literary Club, GK Club, Sāndipani Green Club, Arts Club, Health and Wellness Club and Heritage Club. These activities promote and enhance the inherent potential of the students.
Houses
To inculcate a sense of healthy competition, unity, pride and belonging, the student body is divided into four houses as Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. All the students from Std I to X are in one of the four houses and they remain in the same house right throughout their school life. The main objective of the house system is to instil a sense of collective responsibility that motivates them to put their best efforts to raise their house flag the highest in all inter-house competitions.
